Model VP990 tests EPROMs, TTL/CMOS logic IC devices, dynamic or static memory devices, PROM, PLDs, Flash MCUs, and serial or parallel memory. When in auto-run mode, unit programs automatically upon detection of chip insertion and identifies manufacturer and type of device. It connects to computer via USB port, and it conducts poor pin contact check upon device insertion. Compatible with most compilers in JEDEC format, unit integrates 48-pin ZIF socket with universal pin-drivers.

Multiple Device Universal Programmer
Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded(www.GAOEmbedded.com) has released its compact universal programmer used to test EPROMs, TTL/CMOS logic IC devices, dynamic or static memory devices, programmable read-only memory (PROM), programmable logic devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory. In auto-run mode, the high performance programmer starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion and identifies the manufacturer and type of E (E) PROMs, TTL/CMOS or logic IC automatically. It belongs to GAO's Universal Programmer family of products.
This compact universal programmer, model VP990, provides optimum programming for each individual device and manages the 16/32 bit word split under Windows XP/2000/NT/Vista operating systems. It conducts a poor pin contact check upon device insertion and connects to a computer via USB port for high-speed programming. Universal DIP, PLCC, QFR, TSOP, PSOP, SOIC, SSOP and SDIP adapters are available but no external adapter is required for most devices. The programmer accepts standard file formats including JEDEC, INTEL (Extended) HEX, HOLTEK, EMC (CDS) and INTEL HEX16. It is compatible with most compilers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, OrCAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA. This programmer boasts test vector capability, a multi-array fuse map editor and a 48-pin ZIF socket with universal pin-drivers. Additionally, it offers eight languages including English, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Korean, Polish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch.
