This digital fiber fusion splicer, model C0210002, features single X or Y view and simultaneous X and Y views, a short splicing time of 9 seconds and an impressive tube heating time of 30 seconds. It is designed for single mode fiber, multi-mode fiber, dispersion-shifted fiber (DSF) and non-zero dispersion-shifted fiber (NZ-DSF). It can detect cleaved fiber end-face faults and adjusts parameters automatically.
This compact fiber fusion splicer utilizes USB for data communication and software upgrades. It offers a fiber cleave length of 8 mm to 16 mm with coating diameter of 250 µm. Equipped with a 5.6 inch color VGA LCD screen, it displays the cleaved fiber and offset angle and core and clad offset clearly. In addition, it has a large capacity battery which typically runs 160 cycles.
