Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments ( ) is offering this digital fiber fusion splicer which offers both normal and automatic splicing modes. This compact fiber fusion splicer is an ideal tool for the construction and maintenance of fiber and cable in both field and laboratory applications.

This digital fiber fusion splicer, model C0210002, features single X or Y view and simultaneous X and Y views, a short splicing time of 9 seconds and an impressive tube heating time of 30 seconds. It is designed for single mode fiber, multi-mode fiber, dispersion-shifted fiber (DSF) and non-zero dispersion-shifted fiber (NZ-DSF). It can detect cleaved fiber end-face faults and adjusts parameters automatically.

This compact fiber fusion splicer utilizes USB for data communication and software upgrades. It offers a fiber cleave length of 8 mm to 16 mm with coating diameter of 250 Ám. Equipped with a 5.6 inch color VGA LCD screen, it displays the cleaved fiber and offset angle and core and clad offset clearly. In addition, it has a large capacity battery which typically runs 160 cycles.

This digital fiber fusion splicer belongs to GAO's family of Fusion Splicers.
