Commercial Fire Panel Now Has Eight Communication Options

The workhorse DMP XR500(TM) Command Processor Panel is a reliable security performer used in a range of commercial applications. Now, it can be used as a slave fire communicator with any separate Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) or as a standalone FACP using its own built-in communicator, you can configure the XR500 with up to eight separate communication options using three different technologies; Network, Cell, or Dial-Up.

A DACT (digital alarm communicator transmitter) system may be configured as:

Path 1 Type Dialer Primary and Path 2 Type Dialer Backup

Path 1 Type Dialer Primary and Path 2 Type Cellular Backup

Path 1 Type Dialer Primary and Path 2 Type Network Backup

A NET or CELL System may be configured as:

Path 1 Type Cellular Primary with no Backup

The XR500 recently gained added versatility when it earned UL864 certification as a slave communicator in commercial fire installations, compatible with any FACP.
Dealers can upgrade existing XR500 panels to add cellular communications by adding the 436G Digital Communicator, an easy-to-install expansion card that creates a direct, wireless communications path to any DMP Central Station receiver.
