Cold Milling Flax Seed Gran-U-Lizer™ utilizes water-cooled rollers and unique tooth profile to cut and mill flax seed into very fine powder. Design eliminates screens, as well as subsequent product stickiness and gumming, while also reducing product retention time within grinder to eliminate heat generation and exposure. Cold milling process keeps all nutrients intact, preserving fragile Omega 3 oils, and typical capacities range from 2,000–4,000 lb/hr depending on grind size setting.

This unit utilizes water-cooled rollers and a proprietary tooth profile to cut and mill flax seed into a very fine powder – much finer than conventional hammermills. MPE’s design eliminates screens, thereby eliminating product stickiness and “gumming”, while reducing product retention time within the grinder to eliminate heat generation and exposure.
Flax seeds need to be milled (ground) in order to offer their health benefits. The cold milling process keeps all of the nutrients intact, including preserving the fragile Omega 3 oils, a well-known nutritional benefit, that are found in flax.
Typical capacities for MPE’s flax seed grinders range from 2,000 to 4,000 lbs/hr., depending on the grind size setting. Larger and smaller versions are also available.
