December 21, 2010 - Offered in gray, cedar, and walnut, stain- and fade-resistant Latitudes Captiva(TM) integrates Strandex® technology coupled with co-extruded cap stock material. Barefoot-friendly decking material will not splinter, split, or rot and does not require any sealing, painting, or staining. Lengths of 12, 16, and 20 ft are offered in slotted and standard configurations. Latter is capped on one side and features Equator® hidden fastener for automatic, consistent alignment of deck boards.

Latitudes Captiva(TM) Ultralow-Maintenance Composite Decking Launches at International Builders' Show


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Universal Consumer Products®, a leading supplier of composite decking and railing, introduces Latitudes Captiva(TM), an ultralow-maintenance, co-extruded composite deck board. Latitudes Captiva decking will be featured in the Latitudes booth (W2691) during the 2011 International Builders' Show, beginning Jan. 12 in Orlando, Fla.

The core of Captiva decking is made with the proven Strandex® technology employed in all Latitudes composite decking, coupled with the innovative co-extruded cap stock material found on premium Latitudes Capricorn decking. The result is a stain- and fade-resistant decking product offered in gray, cedar and walnut. With a natural-looking woodgrain pattern on one side, Latitudes Captiva balances aesthetics and value in an ultralow-maintenance composite deck board.

Latitudes Captiva decking will be will be available beginning February 2011 through Latitudes' distribution network and by special order.
