With smooth rotary carton feed, Meridian® cartoner reaches speeds of 200 cpm with 9 in. center and 160 cpm with 12 in. center and offers positive, 2-stage carton pre-opening for difficult to open cartons. Overall base frame is 16 ft with minimal changeover time. Available in 2-, 3-, or 4-chain adjustable carton transports with adjustable buckets, it offers both right and left hand configurations and can be reconfigured to meet specific requirements.

R.A. Jones Introduces New Meridian® Cartoner
R.A. Jones, an IWKA company, will be introducing the all-new Meridian® cartoner. The new Meridian is a flexible, cost effective mid-range packaging solution with a broad range of product handling and transfer capabilities. The introduction of the new line creates opportunities for companies in the market for packaging systems and solutions that may not normally consider R.A. Jones as a potential supplier.
The Meridian offers optimal flexibility with both right hand and left hand configurations. The overall base frame is a compact 16 feet in both the 9-inch and 12-inch center configuration with minimal changeover time.
With a smooth and efficient rotary carton feed, the Meridian can reach speeds of 200 cpm with a 9-inch center and 160 cpm with a 12-inch center and offers positive, two stage carton pre-opening for difficult to open cartons.
Available in two, three, or four chain adjustable carton transports with standard adjustable buckets, the Meridian can easily be reconfigured to meet customer requirements.
Standard features include Allen Bradley ControlLogix controls with Ultra 2000 drives, Panelview 700 Plus color touch-screen HMI, servo-driven flap closers, a Nordson Pro-Blue 7 hot melt glue system, and straight-in bucket conveyor including guide buckets and a stainless steel frame with complete "walk in" accessibility to all components.
Options include automatic transfers, code date, tuck closing, open flap inspect and reject, a loader reject conveyor, pendant mount HMI, NEMA 4 electrics, CE mark capability and Siemens controls.
An intermittent motion version of the machine is also available, further expanding the range of capabilities this family of machines offers.
All Meridian machines are covered with a standard one-year warranty.
