TeleTracking Upgrades Best-Selling TransferCenter(TM) Software

Market-leading software more than doubles transfer volume at Methodist Healthcare

PITTSBURGH - TeleTracking Technologies (www.teletracking.com) has upgraded its best-selling TransferCenter(TM) software to include even more robust reporting capability, which can be used to make critical business decisions about new medical services and referral pattern trends.

TransferCenter version 2.1 also features a fresh user interface for easier navigation, specific protocols by case type to help transfer personnel reduce errors, and aids to make data entry and log-ins quicker and simpler.

Introduced just six months ago, the application, which streamlines the transfer process for patients in need of specialty care, has made TeleTracking the market leader in both patient flow and transfer center technology. Existing clients are embracing the new technology because it integrates with TeleTracking software, which already provides them with the most expansive, robust patient flow solution in the market place.

Doubled Transfer Revenue

Methodist Healthcare, a six-hospital TeleTracking client in San Antonio, TX, has increased transfer volume by 65 percent since integrating TransferCenter(TM) with TeleTracking's enterprise-wide Capacity Management Suite(TM), according to Susan Sewell Kilgore, Vice President of Patient Management for that system.

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), one of five advanced care institutions to acquire TransferCenter in the past two months, chose the new application because when integrated with Capacity Management Suite(TM), it permits transfer center personnel to place incoming patients themselves at any location in their system, cutting significant time from the transfer process, according to Sue Lawrence, Vice President, Care Continuum, for LVHN.

Other new TransferCenter clients include Regions Hospital of St. Paul, MN; Scripps Health of San Diego, CA; Thomas Jefferson University Hospital of Philadelphia, and William Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak, MI.

The new software offering evolved from the consulting experiences of TeleTracking's Patient Flow Services Division, which designs transfer centers as part of its portfolio of services. The Avanti consultants recognized that centralizing and automating all patient logistics would enhance referrals as well as overall patient flow.
