Minneapolis - Associated Foam Manufacturers (AFM) Corporation of Burnsville, Minn., announces termite-resistant R-Control® structural insulated panels (SIPs) with Perform Guard®. The Perform Guard termite-resistant treatment also may be specified for Foam-Control® EPS products including insulated concrete forms, perimeter and under-slab foundation insulation, geofoam, and other building systems.

Offering architects and builders nearly unlimited design options, R-Control SIP and Foam-Control EPS products and systems with Perform Guard seamlessly integrate with a project's overall style and construction methods. The patented Perform Guard treatment material contains no formaldehyde, CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs; can be recycled, and may contribute to Energy Star® and LEED Rating System® criteria. Engineered for quick, easy installation, R-Control SIP and Foam-Control EPS products are tested to provide excellent thermal performance, structural integrity and dimensional stability, as well as flexural strength and compression resistance. Recommended for use in conjunction with a total insect management program, Perform Guard products are especially popular in residential and commercial construction across the Southeast and West Coast.

Foam-Control EPS with Perform Guard is available in range of densities for cost-effective, termite-resistant applications where ground contact occurs with the building products. The material also has been evaluated for below grade use, is manufactured to quality control program standards monitored by Underwriters Laboratories Inc.®, and is recognized by national codes. For optimum performance, Foam-Control EPS with Perform Guard should be partnered with Do-All-Ply® to ensure compatible adhesion with substrates and fill board joints.
