OPW Engineered Systems NTS Breakaway Coupling Raises Safety Standards in Breakaway Technology
Lebanon, OH - OPW Engineered Systems, a leading manufacturer of systems for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of hazardous materials, and a division of OPW Fluid Transfer Group, is pleased to announce the introduction of a new safety breakaway device, the NTS Series Breakaway Coupling.
The NTS Series Safety Breakaway Coupling is designed to protect against the unintended pull-away of tank trucks, railcars, barges and ships. Loading arms and hose lines, conveying gas or liquid media, can be either newly equipped or retrofitted with the NTS. Two non-return valves prevent product loss in the event of an emergency separation. The NTS features a spare part free, non-destructive separation-no shear pins involved. After depressurizing and emptying the hose or loading arm, the NTS can be re-assembled easily, without tools or spare parts so that the operation has very little downtime.
The NTS is available in two styles to meet specific project requirements. A variety of line sizes, connection options and material choices are available to meet virtually any loading application.
