July 12, 2002 - HBA-135P-R5 Planer Type 5 in. CNC Horizontal Boring Mill is equipped with Nitride hardened and precision lapped spindle and 60 hp main motor. Rotary table size is 71 x 80 in., with max load capacity of 26,400 lbs. Travels for head stock vertical, table cross, and table length are 91, 120 and 55 in. respectively; spindle travel is 28 in. Spindle speeds range from 5 to 2,500 ipm. Machine includes 60-tool capacity ATC.

Nomura Introduces Increased Spindle Size CNC Boring Mill
Schaumburg, IL (June 26, 2002) - For increased productivity and higher chip removal rates, Sumikin Bussan will introduce at IMTS 2002, Chicago, in Booth #A-8568, Nomura's new HBA-135P-R5 Planer Type 5" CNC Horizontal Boring Mill.
Since its establishment in 1913, Nomura has developed a reputation for manufacturing machines of increased productivity, as well as precision and rigidity. The new HBA-135P-R5 is no exception.
The HBA-135P-R5 features a Nitride hardened and precision lapped 5.3" diameter spindle. It comes with a full B-axis rotary table including a scale feedback system, as well as X-, Y- and Z-axis scale feedback systems. The HBA-135P-R5's rotary table size is 71" x 80", with a maximum load capacity of 26,400 lbs. Travels for head stock vertical, table cross and table length are 91", 120" and 55" respectively; spindle travel is 28". Spindle speeds for the HBA-135P-R5 range from 5 to 2,500 ipm with CAT50 spindle nose. The HBA-135P-R5 has a 60HP main motor. Nomura's new boring mill features a 60-tool capacity ATC.
