Digital Bore Measuring Tool works with boring bars from 1.25-2.25 in. in diameter. It features digital slide scale and V-style mounting base that allows instrument to clamp onto boring bar while bar itself remains installed in workpiece. Tool presets to bar diameters that operator inputs, and once set, determines dimension from center of bar to tip of tool bit or inside of bore, allowing diameter to be read and cut to be finished.

NEWBERG, Oregon. May 19, 2005 - Climax Portable Machine Tools, Inc., a strategic provider of comprehensive, on-site machining solutions, introduces its latest, most precise Digital Bore Measuring Tool for accurate measuring of bore diameters and presetting tool bits. The new Digital Bore Measuring Tool is designed to work with boring bars from 1.25 - 2.25 inches (38.1 - 57.2 mm) in diameter.
The new system features a best-in-class digital slide scale and a "V" Style mounting base that allows the instrument to accurately clamp onto the boring bar while the bar itself remains installed in the work piece. These advanced features enable machinists to more accurately and precisely measure diameters on the work piece without removing the boring bar.
The Digital Bore Measuring Tool is compatible with all Climax boring machines with bars up to 2¼ inches in diameter. It presets to the bar diameters that the operator inputs. Once set, the tool determines the dimension from the center of the bar to the tip of the tool bit or the inside of the bore, allowing the diameter to be read and the cut to be finished.
The Climax Digital Bore Measuring Tool saves time by eliminating the need for complicated micrometers. With this new tool, a machinist can measure the exact size of a machined hole without having to remove the boring machine.
