October 11, 2012 - Measuring 70 x 29 x .625 in., Dual Density™ Impact Reduction Floor Mat minimizes risk of trip hazards while providing impact absorption. Integrated slip-resistant top layer of high density foam is polymerically bound to soft, moisture-resistant closed cell vinyl sponge with sweep edges to facilitate on/off wheelchair access. Available in black with pebble embossed surface, mat is resistant to inorganic/organic acids, detergents, alcohols, aliphatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, amines, and aldehydes.

Arlington, TX –  With the ever increasing attention on fall injuries related to bedside falls, American Excelsior has announced the introduction of their new, Dual Density™ Impact Reduction Bedside Floor Mat.

Designed to aid in the reduction of injuries sustained in bedside falls, the Dual Density bedside floor mat is a low profile bedside mat (.625”x29”x70”) which reduces the risk of trip hazards  while providing excellent impact absorption. Independent lab testing conducted for Impact Attenuation per ASTM F-1292-04 indicated excellent impact absorption on bedside falls at 18” and below when being used on Vinyl Composition Tile flooring.

A durable, integrated slip resistant top wear layer of high density vinyl foam polymerically bound to a soft, moisture resistant closed cell vinyl sponge with sweep edges allows for easy on and off wheelchair access.
The Dual Density bedside floor mat is resistant to degradation by inorganic acids, organic acids, reducing agents, detergent solutions, alcohols, aliphatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, amines and aldehydes.

Independent lab testing conducted reflected a static coefficient of friction exceeding recommended threshold of safety both wet and dry according to ASTM F 1679 and for use on Vinyl Composition Tile flooring.  Independent lab testing conducted met UL 94 HBF fire retardancy.

The Dual Density bedside floor mat is available in black with a pebble embossed surface. Other colors, embossing of logos or tag lines are available.
