New Beltworn Pouch Provides Comfortable and Reliable Power Source
VANCOUVER, BC - Alti-tech Engineering Inc., a high-tech company specializing in the design and development of extended run-time solutions, has introduced a new rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) portable battery pack. The Procyon Power Belt offers users 150 Watt-hours of 5V to 24V programmable power from a rechargeable Liion battery pack. Low-profile and more flexible than the typical beltworn battery pack, the Procyon is designed to fit snugly on the user's hip, providing greater comfort and freedom of movement. The weight of the pack is distributed evenly around the waist, reducing strain and torsion on the wearer's back.
The onboard control box acts as both charger and output regulator, and allows the unit to be charged from the supplied external power source. An 'intelligent' LED displays a variety of charge states, allowing the user to know at a glance how much power is available. Power is supplied by a pair of E-One Moli Energy ME202CJ rechargeable Li-ion batteries, each rated at 7100mAh capacity and 78.8Wh of power.
