The Guest® Industrial 2606A model is a compact, portable, general purpose battery charger suitable for 12-volt lead acid batteries and gel cell batteries, such as those found on motorcycles, personal watercraft, and snowmobiles.
The 6-amp 2606A features reverse polarity protection. If the user accidentally connects the charger to the battery in reverse (negative to positive and positive to negative), a red LED continuously flashes to alert the user. No current is delivered until the connection is corrected. The charger also has thermal and overload protection.
Sophisticated electronics closely regulate the 3 stages of charging: bulk, absorption, and the "float" or maintenance charge. Silent and cool running, the charger can be connected indefinitely without harming the battery; in fact, the maintenance charge extends battery service life.
The charger's electronics are totally encapsulated in waterproof epoxy potting for maximum environmental protection and impact resistance.
The Guest 2606A can handle fluctuating input power from 95 to 130 vAC at 50 to 60 Hz, delivering an output of 6 amps at 12 volts. The charger is compact: only 5" x 3.5" x 2.25", with a carrying handle for easy portability or hanging storage, and 4' long output cables with color-coded alligator clips.
The charger is available two ways: as the 2606A model in its retail packaging, suitable for distributors; or as the 2602A-B (Bulk packaging), appropriate for OEMs. The 2606A-B is cUL listed and all Guest chargers have a 2-year warranty.
