Murata Launches World's Smallest 2.4 Ghz Balanced Output Filter

Wireless Connectivity Solution Developed for Texas Instruments

Smyrna, GA, - Murata Electronics North America today announced the launch of its LFB182G45BG2D280 balanced output matching filter, aimed at a broad range of 2.4 GHz wireless applications using ZigBee® and Bluetooth® low energy technologies. The new filter has been designed specifically for use with wireless connectivity system-on-chips (SoCs) from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), the CC253x and CC254x for ZigBee and Bluetooth technology networking respectively. Believed to be the world's smallest filter available, Murata's solution measures just 1.6 x 0.8 mm and incorporates all the necessary RF circuitry of a matching network, balun and filter within a single package.

"The launch of this new wireless connectivity solution demonstrates Murata's continual success in delivering the most advanced products to emerging markets and applications," stated Scott Klettke, Marketing Marketing, Murata Electronics North America. "The level of integration that we achieved in a filter this size is truly unprecedented. The fact that it replaces nine discrete 0402 components speaks volumes about its ease of use and time to market savings when using a TI solution."

The sample pricing of Murata's output filter is $.25 per piece, with an approximate lead-time of two to four weeks. Further information can be found online at http://www.murata-northamerica.com/.
