With modular check valve design, RP 4A Series reduced pressure principle backflow preventers can fit in tight spaces and under small enclosures. They have 4 top-mounted test cocks and 2 removable captured spring check modules which are independently accessible from top and can be replaced or disassembled for ease of maintenance. Featuring corrosion resistant all-bronze body, units offer maximum working pressure of 175 psi and operating temperature range of 33-140°F.

New ApolloŽ Valves RP 4A Series Are More Compact, Easier to Service
MATTHEWS, NC - New RP 4A Series reduced pressure principle backflow preventers from ApolloŽ Valves take up less space to fit in tight spaces and under smaller enclosures. They also allow for easier maintenance, thanks to their unique modular check valve design.
The new 4A series features two "captured spring" check modules, independently accessible from the top. The check modules are easily removable and can be replaced or disassembled for normal maintenance. Four top-mounted test cocks further improve serviceability. The relief valve is bottom centered with a separate access cover.
The RP 4A Series are part of a new backflow preventer family from Apollo that also includes DC 4A double check assemblies and PVB 4A pressure vacuum breakers. All three new valves share the "captured spring" design and utilize interchangeable check valve modules in the same sizes. This simplifies repair operations and helps contractors reduce parts inventory.
Stainless steel handles on the shutoff valves are standard and the all-bronze body of the 4A Series RP resists corrosion for extended service life. Maximum working pressure is 175 PSI; operating temperature range is 33° to 140°F.
