Providing virtually leak-proof connection to any tube or pipe, smooth or threaded, FIM and FEM Connectors use compressed air to activate elastomeric seals for full-flow test with air, gas, or liquid. FEM models provide automated external sealing from vacuum to 500 psi and connect to ODs from 0.030–5.040 in., with pilot port specifications of 1/8" BSPP. Engineered for internal sealing up to 120 psi, FIM connectors can be used for IDs ranging from 0.310–3.005 in.

FasTest Expands FI and FE Series to Include Connectors with Metric Mounting Holes, Pilot Ports and BSPP Media Ports
Minneapolis, MN—FasTest announces the expansion of its FI and FE internal and external automated pneumatic connectors to include options with metric mounting holes, pilot ports and BSPP media ports. Simplifying applications by accommodating common international metric mounting hardware and requirements, FIM and FEM connectors seal conventional and non-standard surfaces and connect to any tube or pipe, smooth or threaded, for testing and sealing applications.
FIM and FEM connectors increase manufacturing productivity by minimizing part damage and increasing connection and testing speed. The automated sealing feature uses compressed air to activate the elastomeric seals for a full-flow test with air, gas or liquid, providing an ideal solution for high-volume production testing. Designed to provide uniform seal movement, they offer a virtually leak-proof connection, even over threaded, rough and oily surfaces. Additionally, the Neoprene sealing material delivers durability, seal-life longevity and an operating temperature range of -40° to 250°F, while Urethane seal models provide petroleum resistance.
FEM connectors provide automated external sealing from vacuum to 500 psi and connect to outside diameters that range as small as 0.76 mm (0.030 inches) to as large as 128.0 mm (5.040 inches), with pilot port specifications of 1/8' BSPP. FIM connectors are engineered for internal sealing up to 120 psi and can be used for inside diameters ranging from 7.87 mm (0.310 inches) to 76.32 mm (3.005 inches), with custom sizes also available.
