AR Adds 1500 Watt / 10 kHz - 3 MHz Amplifier That Allows Users to Select Output Impedance
Souderton, PA - 1/25/07 - AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation already has a broadband, solid-state amplifier that enables users to select output impedance to match load impedance. The existing amplifier, Model 800A3, provides 800 watts of power across the 10 kHz - 3 MHz frequency range. The new Model 1500A3 covers the same frequency range with power increased to 1500 watts.
Model 1500A3 can be ordered with an optional remote switchable isolated impedance transformer from the IT2000 series, which allows fast remote switching of output impedance to better accommodate matching to load impedance. Transformer Model IT2001 can be set for 8 - 400 ohms; and Model IT2002 covers 50 - 2000 ohms.
Typical applications for the 1500A3 include RF susceptibility testing, design & test of RF fluorescent lights, ultrasonic measurements, particle accelerators, plasma generation, transducer testing, and as a driver for higher power amplifiers.
