Tyco Electronics Announces .312 Series FASTON Receptacle Housing

HARRISBURG, PA. - September 8, 2009 - Tyco Electronics has added a .312 series FASTON receptacle housing to its family of .312 series FASTON connectors. The single position receptacle housing is designed to insulate Tyco Electronics .312 series FASTON receptacles which mate with quick connect tabs in various commercial and industrial components.

A significant ergonomic feature of the .312 series FASTON receptacle housing is the contoured thumbprint pushing surface designed for comfort. The receptacle insulators provide shock hazard protection and are ideal in any application.

In addition, the housing configuration allows operators to easily recognize the proper orientation for receptacle loading and mating. A protected internal terminal locking feature provides secure retention and includes an anti-reverse component to reduce the possibility of improper terminal assembly.

The .312 series receptacles are available for wire sizes 18-10 AWG as well as two wire applications. Housings are made from UL 94 V-2 and V-0 flammability rated Nylon resin, in black or natural. The housing is UL recognized and CSA certified.
