Tool for Converts XML to a Table Formats with a Few Clicks

HiBase Group has announced Advanced XML Converter v. 1.2, a SDI-based tool for extracting data from XML files and saving it to a range of table formats. This includes Excel (.xls), FoxPro, Dbase (.dbf), comma separate (.csv), as well as tables of HTML and SQL queries. In the latter case, an SQL query is built to generate a required table on SQL server.

Built for users dealing with statistics data, Advanced XML Converter will turn raw data into a clearly structured text. To do this, it parses an XML file, counts single-type subtags, separating them from programming data, and output data to the chosen format. No XML schemes and .NET technologies are required. The output can be configured and formatted. This means users can select from the found subtags the ones they want to see in the output. Prior to conversion, the structure of an output file can be seen in the preview window instantly.

"Initially, we developed this tool for in-house use as a library that could extract data from a complex XML file," says Michael Kuznetzov, HiBase Group's CEO. "This library is now used in our other product - HiBase Task Scheduler where an XML file describes the schedule of tasks and execution algorithms in the scheduler. After the success we had with this library, we wrote an interface for it and put it on the market. The development of the product is driven by our users whose feedback helped us to enhance the product with support for XLS tables, integration with Excel, support for SQL databases and HTML. Besides, we integrated plug-in support for processing specific XML files, and the converter has become even more powerful!"

Advanced XML Converter is available immediately as a free downloadable evaluation version from xml-converter.com. It requires Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista.
