Software Suite offers VoIP diagnostic, provisioning tools.

BBX v4.5 helps users improve delivery of VoIP services to end subscribers by offering diagnostic features that support troubleshooting, including tools to remotely assess subscriber in-home wiring. Also included, QoS reporting uses KPI aggregation and trending to relay condition of customers' CMTS. Other features include Voice Mean Opinion Scoring capabilities as well as trouble ticket views and reporting for optimal operational visibility.

Integrated Broadband Services Releases BBX 4.5 with Industry Leading VoIP Capabilities
ATLANTA, Oct. 20 -- Integrated Broadband Services (IBBS), the leading provider of software and services to broadband network operators, announced today the release of BBX 4.5 -- the latest update to its award-winning diagnostics and provisioning software suite.
"Our research identified the need for robust and integrated provisioning and diagnostic software for VoIP service. This release enables our customers to significantly improve their delivery of VoIP services to end subscribers," said IBBS Vice President Products Chris Anderson.
BBX 4.5 includes a range of other enhancements including:

-- Tools that allow customer service personnel to remotely upgrade end-subscriber firmware versions.

Market research consensus indicates that VoIP adoption rates are in a steep rise as consumers become more comfortable with VoIP offerings. Market analysts at SNL Kagan project a 2008 VoIP residential market growth rate of 34 percent.
Anderson concluded, "Residential consumers facing tighter household budgets are looking to save money on their phone service and they're switching in increasing numbers to cable broadband VoIP. IBBS customers are well positioned to capitalize on this growing market opportunity."
