Office Business Applications (OBAs) are pre-configured, out of the box applications that leverage Microsoft Information Worker productivity tools such as Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint. OBAs offer companies many advantages over point solutions including the ability to invest in a single solutions platform and then configure multiple applications using the same technology; effectively lowering not only the acquisition cost of software but both internal and external ongoing maintenance and support.
