Brainware Continues to Innovate with Release of IDC-distiller v4.1
ASHBURN, Va., June 3 -- Brainware, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent data capture and enterprise search solutions, today announced the availability of IDC-distiller v4.1, the latest version of its flagship intelligent data capture solution that helps Global 2000 organizations rapidly process millions of unstructured documents. The new version includes such features as Automatic Document Separation and Advanced Field Extraction that further reduce manual data entry and make the solution even easier to implement.
"Distiller 4.1 responds to the market demand for data extraction solutions that radically reduce manual data entry," says Carl Mergele, Brainware CEO. "Our customers don't simply want to push the workload downstream. They want intelligent data capture solutions that accurately extract the data early in the process and automatically pass it to their backend systems. In accounts payable, order processing, remittance handling, or any other document-centric business process, this is how costs are reduced and process-level visibility is increased. The new version of Distiller strengthens our position as the only company whose technology can scale to the enormous document volumes and diversity Brainware handles, with virtually no human intervention."
IDC-distiller 4.1 features include:
-- Automatic Document Separation: eliminates the need to manually group pages of each invoice into a separate document prior to scanning. Automatic Document Separation intelligently assembles scanned pages into their appropriate documents without the use of barcodes, labels, separator sheets or other dividing markers.
-- Advanced Field Extraction Engine: building on IDC-distiller's powerful learning algorithms, this new extraction engine automatically studies field formats, surrounding context, and positional information. This capability is based on Brainware's powerful associative search technology, allowing users to process new documents without additional setup or configuration.
-- Microsoft(R) Windows Vista(R) Support: All IDC-distiller modules are certified to run on Windows Vista.
-- Windows-based User Authentication: Local workstations and Microsoft Windows network users can now be imported into the IDC-distiller authentication sub-system allowing automatic project authentication based on the current Windows user account settings.
