Collision Detector alerts drivers to dangerous conditions.

April 1, 2008 - Using radar technology based on Safe Braking Distance, FrontAlert(TM) Collision Alert System (CAS) detects hazards in vehicle's path and alerts driver of potential collision via 3.5 in. LCD interface. Green light indicates system is active, and yellow light indicates detected object (no action needed). Red light and alert tone tell driver to take caution, decelerate, brake, or take safe evasive action to avoid collision. Alerts stop once corrective action has been taken.

Introducing Radar Safety Technologies, LLC (RST) new FrontAlert(TM) Collision Alert System (CAS)

TROY, Mich., March 27 - The newly formed safety technology and product company called Radar Safety Technologies, LLC (RST) is announcing today at the Mid-American Trucking Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville, Kentucky its new safety product FrontAlert(TM) Collision Alert System (CAS).

RST's FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is a new Collision Alert System for the Commercial Vehicle market that is designed to detect hazards in your vehicle's path and alerts you of a potential collision. The new FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is available beginning second quarter 2008.

RST has over 50 years of experience and knowledge in research, design, and development of leading safety technology products. RST will first market and sell FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) in the Commercial Vehicle market. RST will also deliver safety technologies and products to the Automotive, Recreational, Mining, and Military markets.

RST's FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) features advanced radar-based technology that is based on Safe Braking Distance. FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) calculates your vehicle speed, distance to the object, and closing speed between your vehicle and the object, and alerts you of a threat or non-threat driving situation. FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) driver display unit illuminates a green light indicating the system is active. When a yellow light illuminates on the driver display, an object has been detected in front of the driver's vehicle. No action is needed by the driver. When a red light and an alert tone activates, FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is alerting the driver to take caution, decelerate, brake, or take safe evasive action to avoid a collision. Once corrective action has been taken by the driver, FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) resumes normal non- threat status.

"RST is committed to a set of four internal brand value standards that define all our products. We call these our S4 values: Safe - Sound - Smart - and Simple. Every RST product is built with this set of four internal brand value standards which has been designed into an RST symbol that will be seen on RST's web-site, advertisements, and all other communication media symbolizing RST's commitment to delivering on our brand promise - RST delivers safety through technology," said Jeffrey T. Barylak, Vice President of Marketing.

RST has listened to its customers through market research which uncovered many value-add features and benefits that RST incorporated into FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) product design.

RST's FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) helps make driving Safe. Whether you're driving cross-country or in city traffic collisions happen fast. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a staggering 93 percent of crashes involve driver error. NHTSA research shows that one second of alerting could prevent up to 90 percent of rear-end collisions. FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) can give you the extra second you need to respond appropriately, and help prevent costly collisions, injury and even catastrophic loss. FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is on alert and unaffected in adverse weather conditions such as fog, snow, dust, rain, night, or twilight.

RST's FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is a Sound investment. Whether you're a fleet owner, a safety or maintenance manager, or driver RST's FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) helps reduce down time for your vehicle and the associated high costs of a collision. It also could reduce millions of dollars in costs associated with catastrophic loss, personal injury, vehicles and property damage.

RST's FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is Smart. Charlie Rashid, President and Chief Technical Officer said, "When it comes to smart FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is always looking out for your safety even when you are distracted. This intelligent vehicle safety system uses precise, proprietary GERS(TM) Safe Braking Algorithm technology to detect hazards in your vehicle's path and alerts you of a potential collision by discriminating between threat and non-threat driving situations. But you are still always in control."

RST's FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is Simple. FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) is easy to install and maintenance free. FrontAlert(TM) (CAS) delivers on the first easy to understand driver interface 3.5 inch LCD display unit that projects alerts of a threat or non-threat driving situations.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Administrator John Hill says, "The good news is that for the past two years, we as a nation achieved the lowest truck-fatality rate in 30 years. This means that despite trucks traveling more miles - over 7% [more] in the past five years - the proportion of fatalities is down. However, we know that despite these gains, we are not seeing a drop in overall fatalities." "RST will be changing statistics with FrontAlert(TM) (CAS)," said Jeffrey T. Barylak, Vice President of Marketing.
