Rechargeable Tubes neutralize acidic pH from boilers.

June 14, 2007 - Condensate neutralizing tubes raise pH level of discharged condensate from commercial boilers and warm air furnaces to near neutral level of 6.5-7.0 pH so it can be safely drained into sewer or septic systems. Offered in 5 sizes and configurations for heating systems ranging from 50,000 to 3 million BTU, environmentally friendly tubes comes with galvanized strut clamps as well as all necessary bolts and nuts required for installation.

New pH Neutralizing System Helps Protect Plumbing System and the Environment

-- System neutralizes discharged condensate from high efficiency commercial boilers -

SOUTHAMPTON, Mass., May 22 - Many of today's high efficiency commercial boilers and warm air furnaces produce highly acidic condensate that is often drained from commercial, industrial and institutional facilities into the normal sewer line or septic system. The acidic nature of this condensate can damage cast iron and ABS drain pipes, septic tanks, sump pump seals, pump levels, city sewer systems and wastewater treatment facilities as well as local outdoor vegetation. To combat this, JJM Boiler Works has introduce a complete line of condensate neutralizing tubes designed to raise the pH level of discharged condensate so it can be safely drained into sewer or septic systems.

Discharged condensate from high efficiency boilers and furnaces is highly acidic and typically in the range of 3.0 - 3.5 pH, which can damage plumbing and sewer infrastructure. The JJM Boiler Works condensate neutralizing tubes are designed to raise the pH level of the discharged fluids to a near neutral level of 6.5 - 7.0 pH.

"In light of the national movement towards using environmentally friendly or "green" building products, it is surprising how many companies still pour highly acidic boiler condensate down the drain and into the septic or sewer system without a second thought," said George Carney, owner of JJM Boiler Works. "We developed the neutralizing tubes to provide end-users with an economical, easy-to-use and environmentally-friendly alternative to this problem."

JJM Boiler Works neutralizing tubes come in five different sizes and configurations for heating systems ranging from 50,000 to 3 million Btu. Each rechargeable tube comes complete with galvanized strut clamps as well as all the necessary bolts and nuts required for installation. The system can be easily installed by a plumbing professional to any commercial condensing boiler or warm air furnace system, and should be recharged whenever the pH level of the discharge falls below 6.0, typically once or twice per year.
