Flowmeters are offered with temperature transmitter.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for measuring and monitoring flow rate and temperature in industrial processing applications, CoolPoint(TM) vortex shedding flowmeters have totalizing capability, no moving parts, and selectable scaled pulse output. Electronic instruments measure flows and temperatures of water, water-based machine coolant, and water/glycol mixtures in processes involving both flow and heat removal. Units come in pipe sizes from ¾ in. (25 gpm max flow rate) to 4 in. (600 gpm max).

Universal Flow Monitors Offers Flowmeters with Temperature Measurement Capability

Universal Flow Monitors, Inc. announces CoolPoint(TM) vortex shedding flowmeters with temperature transmitters for measuring and monitoring both flow rate and temperature in industrial processing applications.

These electronic instruments are designed for measuring flows and temperatures of water, water-based machine coolant and water/glycol mixtures in industrial processing involving both flow and heat removal. The meters monitor temperature readings and transmit them to a process controller. High repeatability (+/-1 percent of actual flow and +/-0.25 percent of actual temperature) results in the consistency that helps provide process control and production quality.

CoolPoint(TM) flowmeters with the optional temperature transmitter are offered in pipe sizes ranging from 3/4 inch (maximum flow rate 25 gallons per minute, 95 liters per minute) to 4 inches (maximum 600 GPM, 2271 LPM). They provide temperature readings ranging from 32 degrees F (0 degrees C) to 210 degrees F (99 degrees C). Temperatures can be expressed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius on the local LED readout.

The vortex shedding flowmeters have no moving parts to stick or coat, eliminating potential for jamming. They can measure and monitor flow in cooling loops using low-viscosity, clean or dirty water-like liquids compatible with brass, PVDF and Viton.

Totalizing capability is a feature of CoolPoint(TM) flowmeters. The meter has a scaled pulse output as a standard selectable option. This scaled pulse output increases the meter's ability to measure, monitor and control the total amount of liquid used in a process.
