Power Filters feature active tracking.

Press Release Summary:

Designed to safeguard equipment against damaging low-energy voltage transients and high-frequency noise, STF Series of Active Tracking® Filters continuously track input ac power line at all locations on sinewave and instantaneously counter noise. By reducing normal mode transients to ±5 V and absorbing large bandwidths of noise, they recreate well-regulated sinusoidal waveform. Units come in 1- and 3-phase configurations with input voltage of 120, 240, and 480 Vac at 50/60 Hz.

New Sola/Hevi-Duty Power Filters Feature Active Tracking

-- STF Series Filters Eliminate Low-Voltage Transients & High-Frequency Noise to Assure the Cleanest AC Power for Sensitive Equipment --

ROSEMONT, IL, March 15, 2007 - Sola/Hevi-Duty, a global leader in power quality innovation, today introduced its' new STF Series of Active Tracking® Filters designed to safeguard industrial, medical and telecommunications equipment against damaging low-energy voltage transients and high-frequency noise.

"Low energy transients and noise missed by surge suppression technology can disrupt production schedules and degrade equipment with electronic rust," explained Mike Johnson, Director of Marketing, Sola/Hevi-Duty. "Our new STF Power Filters convert this dirty AC power into a clean, reliable source of energy."

STF Power Filters continuously track the input AC power line at all locations on the sinewave and instantaneously counter noise. By reducing normal mode transients to ±5 volts and absorbing large bandwidths of noise, they recreate a well-regulated sinusoidal waveform isolated from input disturbances.

Available in one- and three-phase configurations with input voltage of 120, 240 and 480 VAC at 50/60 Hz, STF Power Filters allow users to meet a wide range of power quality requirements. They are especially effective in environments such as industrial automation where a slight change in voltage can lead to misoperation, incorrect data or costly production downtime. The simple-to-mount hardwired filters can be installed on a single piece of equipment or at the branch panel.

INDUSTRIAL-STRENGTH DESIGN
Featuring a non-degrading filter technology, STF Power Filters are manufactured for years of trouble-free service requiring little or no maintenance. Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) is greater than 100,000 hours, representing "best-of-breed" performance and complying with the Department of Defense's demanding MIL-217F standard. In addition, the filters meet UL 1283 and CSA C22.2 standards for Electromagnetic Interference Filters.
