UGS Announces New Solid Edge Motion Simulation and Animation Features
Solid Edge Version 19 leverages UGS' D-Cubed technology to communicate design function in real time

Solid Edge Version 19 leverages UGS' own D-Cubed technology to realistically simulate motion of assemblies and mechanisms through the Assembly Engineering Manager (AEM).
Solid Edge is the CAD component of the new UGS Velocity Series(TM) portfolio. The D-Cubed AEM component provides a streamlined capability to perform fast and accurate motion studies. Complementing additional new capabilities to explode, render and animate designs, motion simulation tools let Solid Edge users animate complete product function, utilizing components such as gears, pulleys and hydraulic cylinders while applying motors to generate movement.

The AEM enables motion simulation in Solid Edge assembly environment, which supports two critical workflows.
