SLi Lighting Adds Two New Linear Fluorescent T8 Models

MULLINS, SC, JANUARY 16, 2006-SLi Lighting has announced the addition of Terra-Lux Energy Saver F28T8 and Terra-Lux Hi-Lumen F32T8 lamps to its linear fluorescent T8 product line.

The Terra-Lux Energy Saver, a four-foot, 28-watt T8 with a medium bi-pin base, is an energy-efficient one-for-one replacement of existing 32-watt T8s, providing a four-watt reduction in energy use. The 4100K color temperature lamp has a 24,000 hour rated life and a CRI of 85. 3000K, 3500K and 5000K versions are also available.

The Terra-Lux Hi-Lumen F32T8 is a four-foot lamp with an output of 3100 lumens and a CRI of 85. In new construction or de-lamping applications, the medium bi-pin base lamp offers an opportunity to reduce energy costs by using fewer lamps or fixtures with no change in light quality. The lamp has a 24,000 hour rated life and is available in 3500K, 4100K and 5000K color temperatures.

For maximum lumen maintenance, SLi T8 lamps feature a cathode guard around each electrode to effectively reduce lamp darkening and retain a clean appearance in the fixture throughout lamp life.

SLi T8 lamps designated Terra-Lux are low-mercury models meeting the US Environmental Protection Agency's Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP). TCLP-compliant lamps can be disposed as non-hazardous waste where regulations allow, reducing disposal costs.

SLi's family of linear fluorescent T8 lamps also includes the 800 Series and 700 Series providing high lumen output and a variety of color temperatures, and the Excella T8, a 5765K lamp with a 91 CRI that renders colors at near to natural light values for color-matching applications.

The North American division of SLi Lighting is headquartered in South Carolina and has 10 distribution centers across the United States. SLi manufactures to comply with many international standards, including IEC, ANSI, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, UL and Energy Star.
