Amphenol Introduces Non-Magnetic Multi-Pin Cylindrical Connectors

Sidney, NY, June 2005 -- Amphenol Industrial Operations, a manufacturer of high reliability connectors and interconnection systems for the industrial markets, has modified its Amphe-Lite series of connectors to meet non-magnetic specifications for MRI or other applications requiring the use of a non-magnetic interconnect.

Amphe-Lite connector housings are made from durable, corrosion-resistant composite materials and provide a lightweight IP67 rating when mated. Non-magnetic contacts are available for power, signal and coax applications ranging from a single Twinax contact up to 128 size 22D contacts for crimping 22 AWG thru 28 AWG in a multitude of insert combinations. Standard crimp contacts can be terminated to discrete wires and PC tail contacts are available for termination to printed circuit boards or flex circuitry. The Amphe-Lite series of connectors is UL and RoHS compliant.

Pricing for a mated pair of Amphe-Lite connectors starts at $20. Delivery is eight to ten weeks ARO.
