EDMONTON, Alberta, September 9, 2004 - Greencomputer Innovation (GCI) is launching its new combination firewall, antispam and antivirus engines for its line of PowerElf II server appliances. The technology in the PowerElf II provides complete protection from hackers, viruses and spam at low cost to businesses.
Because the solution is delivered to the client in "appliance" form, no software is required to install and little administration is required in order to begin reaping the benefits of virus and spam-free e-mail.

The Auto-defense firewall includes an intrusion detection system (IDS) to spot hackers before they can collect enough information about specific services on the network.
