Contoured Fanfold Underlayment to Fit a Variety of Straight-Lap Siding Panels
ATLANTA – Pactiv Corporation (NYSE: PTV) has introduced GreenGuard® BACKER-PROâ„¢ Universal fanfold underlayment for a variety of 4" straight-lap siding panels. This new underlayment, uniquely contoured to fill the hollow spaces between the vinyl siding and the exterior wall, adds impact resistance and firmness to vinyl siding.
GreenGuard® BACKER-PROâ„¢ Universal fanfold underlayment lays flat to provide a smooth, even surface for a straight, finished job. After GreenGuard® BACKER-PROâ„¢ Universal underlayment is installed, the siding falls neatly and quickly into place over the underlayment's contours, reducing the time typically required to align the siding.
Made from closed cell extruded polystyrene (XPS), GreenGuard® BACKER-PROâ„¢ Universal underlayment has excellent moisture resistance to help prevent warping and moisture build-up inside walls. It cuts easily with a utility knife and doesn't crumble. Featuring vertical channels every 4' to permit drainage, GreenGuard® BACKER-PROâ„¢ Universal underlayment is an ENERGY STAR Qualified product as part of EPA's Home Sealing effort.
GreenGuard® BACKER-PROâ„¢ Universal underlayment is sized to fit most ½" butt, double 4" straight-lap panels; 5/8" butt, double 4" straight-lap panels; and ¾" butt, double 4" straight-lap panels.
