Tarzwell to Present High Voltage Webinar as Part of IPC Online Technical Education: Winter Webinars

Press release date: January 29, 2011

Freeport The Bahamas: IPC announced recently that industry expert and inventor Robert Tarzwell will be presenting a webinar on the Design of High Voltage PCBs as part of their Online Education Winter Webinars. Tarzwell's webinar will be presented on Tuesday, February 15 10:00 am - 11:00 am Central time. This presentation will discuss concerns with design and fabrication technologies needed to successfully make a high-voltage PCB. The special needs of high-voltage are quite different from normal PCB design, with trace separations for arcing, and special higher-dielectric laminates for reduced corona generations. As voltage increases, its effect on PCBs must be monitored in order to minimize destructive forces, such as an arc or generated plasma corona. Attendees will receive a FREE eBook: Designing High Voltage PCBs, a $10.00 value from DMRPCB.com. What Attendees Will Learn:
  • Aged Effect of Laminates Dielectric Ratings
  • Preventing Arc Over Design With Layer-to-Layer and Track Spacings
  • Dialectic Ratings of Various Laminates
  • Difference in High-Voltage Ratings on Design
  • Difference in High-Voltage Signal Waveforms on Design
  • High-Voltage Rated Laminates
  • Effects of Corona
  • Elimination of Corona Generation
  • Effects of Assembly Techniques on High- Voltage Boards About the Instructor
