Teel Wins Wisconsin Safety Council's Corporate Safety Award

Baraboo, WI – Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Reggie Newson and Executive Director of the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce Debra L. Bauer were in attendance when the Wisconsin Safety Council’s (WSC) Brian Mirr presented Teel Plastics with the Corporate Safety Award.

Each year the WSC, in partnership with the DWD and Wisconsin Manufacturers Commerce, picks the winners of this award by factoring in a number of critical elements relating to worker safety.

Mirr stated that Teel is “very deserving of this award as an organization wholly committed to WSC’s mission of keeping Wisconsin workers safe.”

Mirr continued to congratulate Teel on making safety a priority across the business. He commented on the value of our Safety Training Observation Program; having an employee based safety committee; our prescription safety glasses program; having a good LOTO program; an impressive Learning Management System and the added value of digital signage for constant reminders.

Kim Meyer, Teel’s Director of Human Resources, said “Teel continues to be busy with new work and therefore we anticipate that we will be hiring through the end of the year.”

Teel’s next Job Fair is scheduled for Saturday 8/15 from 8am – Noon at 1060 Teel Ct, Baraboo WI. Job applicants can fill out employment applications onsite. For questions about Teel’s next Job Fair call 608-355-3080.
