STI Electronics' J-STD-001 Inspection Kit Picks up a 2015 NPI Award

MADISON, ALÂ – STI Electronics, Inc., a full service organization providing training services, analytical and failure analysis, prototyping, and small- to medium-volume PCB assembly, announces that it has been awarded a 2015 NPI Award in the category of Training Materials for its J-STD-001 Inspection Kit (part number STI-INSP-001-E1). The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 ceremony that took place at the San Diego Convention Center during the IPC APEX EXPO.
STI's J-STD-001 training kit was designed by the Master IPC Trainers (MITs) at STI Electronics to assist MITs and Certified IPC Trainers (CITs) with an easy way to administer the physical inspection requirements of Module 5 of the IPC-J-STD-001 training program. These materials also can be used for other training programs that reference the IPC J-STD-001 Criteria.
The J-STD-001 kit contains examples of some of the most common technologies likely to be encountered in electronics manufacturing. Any existing kit can be used with any acceptability standard by simply updating the answer key. The training kit offers an alternative to the time consuming (and costly) development and fabrication of in-house inspection samples and the verification of answer keys.
