Stephen Pargeter Joins Airxchange as VP of Product Engineering

ROCKLAND, MA - Airxchange announces the appointment of Stephen J. Pargeter as Vice President, Product Engineering. Airxchange manufactures energy recovery ventilation (ERV) wheels sold through heating, ventilation, and air conditioning OEMs. In his new role, Pargeter will be responsible for product development, R&D, and manufacturing support.

Pargeter comes to Airxchange from the Dehumidification Division of Munters Corporation, Inc., of San Antonio, Texas, where he served as Vice President of Technology and, more recently, as Director of Engineering, New Product Concepts. In the former position, he managed engineering groups on three continents in the development of industrial and commercial dehumidification equipment. Prior to that, he worked as Director of Engineering for AAON, Inc. Pargeter's achievements include the design and introduction of a dehumidifier that consumes 40% less energy than previous models. He also developed some of the first commercial air conditioners and dehumidifiers to use environmentally friendly R410A refrigerants. He has guided many inventions through the patent process, naming three himself. He has served on the board of directors of the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and has chaired several of the institute's committees.

Commented Donald Steele, Airxchange's President, "Stephen's skills and experience will prove invaluable in our product development and manufacturing efforts, and will help us to maintain our leadership position in the industry."

Pargeter earned his BSc degree in Production Engineering and Production Management from England's Nottingham University. He is a pilot and avid woodworker, and enjoys photography and golf.

A leader in energy recovery ventilation technology, Airxchange provides reliable energy recovery components for HVAC systems to meet outdoor air ventilation requirements. Airxchange ERV wheels dramatically reduce heating and cooling cost by using site-recovered energy to pre-condition fresh outdoor air for temperature and humidity. The resulting reduction in outdoor air load of up to 80% translates into a significant reduction in energy costs and allows downsizing of HVAC equipment for immediate return on investment. Airxchange components are available through most OEMs.
