President & CEO Carteaux Completes Senior Leadership Team; Public Affairs Veteran Quinn to Elevate Industry Reputation



WASHINGTON – SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association is strengthening its communications function by bringing on Mia Freis Quinn as the Vice President of Communications. With more than 15 years of experience, Quinn most recently led communications and public affairs campaigns at Hill+Knowlton Strategies.

Her experience with and commitment to strategic public affairs will continue to strengthen the $427 billion U.S. plastics industry.”



Quinn, reporting to Carteaux, will lead the organization’s communications effort to advance the plastics industry’s pro-manufacturing agenda, strengthen its global competitiveness, and pursue its ambitious zero waste strategies. She will direct the creation and implementation of a strategic, multifaceted communications program tailored to build and strengthen SPI’s reputation.



With a strong background in both political and corporate issue campaigns, Quinn has positioned large associations, Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations and universities favorably with key opinion leaders to advance policy initiatives.
