SME partners to offer motorsports summer camp.

June 30, 2009 - Motorsports Institute Summer Camp, hosted by North Carolina Motorsports Association and SME Education Foundation, will be held June 15-19 at Central Piedmont Community College and Charlotte area motorsports facilities. Students will use RC cars to learn fundamentals of motorsports and manufacturing, working in teams to design/manufacture parts and solve manufacturing, design, and engineering problems. Camp will conclude with competition held at Hendrick Motorsports Team Center.

The North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) is the voice for the motorsports industry across the state of North Carolina. The industry provides a 5.9 billion dollar economic impact and over 26,000 jobs to the state.
