Severn Trent Plc Divests Meter Installation Business

Enterprise Plc to acquire Severn Trent Metering Services (Integra)

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. –  Severn Trent Plc has today announced that it has agreed to sell the meter installation business of Severn Trent Metering Services (Integra) to infrastructure maintenance company Enterprise Plc.

Severn Trent Metering Services, a subsidiary of Severn Trent Services, has a contract to install meters for Severn Trent Water. Under the new arrangement, Enterprise will take over the Severn Trent Water contract. Water hygiene and private pipe services will remain within Severn Trent Services.

Severn Trent Plc’s decision to sell the metering business has been made in response to changes in the UK market, with water companies increasingly looking for meter installation and repair and maintenance as a single package.
