Scott Specialty Gases Publishes Expanded Chart of Compounds Used for Monitoring MACT HAPs and TICs

Plumsteadville, PA-Scott Specialty Gases recently published a revised edition of their handy reference chart listing compounds currently used for monitoring Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) as mandated with respect to Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT). The expanded chart now includes Toxic Industrial Compounds (TICs) and lists concentration ranges that are currently available from Scott. Interferent gas mixtures have also been added to the chart.

The national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants were promulgated on October 12, 2005 and are pursuant to Section 112 (d) of the Clean Air Act. The new standards target hazardous waste from sources that burn hazardous waste, including: commercial and onsite incinerators, cement kilns, lightweight aggregate kilns, boilers, and hydrochloric acid production furnaces.
