Scientific Dust Collectors Announces a New Technical Paper on Improved Cleaning in Pulse Jet Baghouses
ALSIP, ILLINOIS - Scientific Dust Collectors (SDC) announces the availability of a third technical paper describing the advantages of proper design for reverse pulse jet baghouses used in dust collection applications. SDC has used unique nozzle based cleaning systems for reverse pulse jet collectors in the manufacturing industry for more than 28 years. The key to the performance of this cleaning system is the scientific design of the cleaning nozzle. This patented technology eliminates the venturi at the top of the bag and provides more induced cleaning air into the filter media than any other system available. This design also allows SDC to incorporate wide bag spacing in all our designs.
This technical paper explains the advantages of using wide bag spacing in a baghouse. It also discusses the disadvantages of using high velocity jets in close bag spacing applications. It also reveals why SDC's bag spacing is ideal.
