REGO-FIX® Announces Passing of Fritz Weber

Indianapolis, Indiana, May 13, 2008 - REGO-FIX sadly announces the passing of Fritz Weber, company founder and inventor of the ER collet. Mr. Weber passed away on May 1, 2008 at the age of 83.

Throughout his life, Mr. Weber repeatedly focused his talents on solving common problems, inventing machines for such diverse applications as cheese cutting, milk bottling and spray can testing. In 1950, he started REGO-FIX in the attic of his house and would go on to invent the ER collet in 1973.

"My father was the oldest of 12 children and came from very humble beginnings," says Andreas S. Weber, current president of REGO-FIX. "His primary mission in life was to help those who had fallen on hard times and he judged the success of our company on its ability to provide employees with the means to provide for their families."
