PMA Launches Registration for Regional METALFORM

Show Will Be Birmingham's First-Ever Metal Stamping Event

CLEVELAND, OH - November 8, 2007 - The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) is now accepting registrations for Regional METALFORM, the most respected, results-oriented metal stamping, tool and die, forming and fabricating exposition in North America. Those interested in attending can register for free at the event's official website, www.metalform.com, until March 7, 2008. The show will be held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, AL, on April 1-3, 2008, the first metal stamping event held in Birmingham.

More than 300 companies will display their products in 94,000 square feet of exhibit space. The current floor plan is 20 percent larger than originally planned; more than seven months prior to the show, it was expanded to accommodate extensive interest in the event and the area known as "Automotive Alley" along the I-65 corridor. With nearly five months left before the event, 93 percent of the expanded floor space is already occupied.

Fabricating, stamping, assembly and tool and die companies will be among those exhibiting, as well as companies showcasing value-added technologies such as material handling and packaging. Attendees will be able to evaluate solutions for every phase of their process-from the press to the dock door. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to network with experts to discuss cost-effective solutions to manufacturing problems; the latest breakthrough strategies to maximize operations; and new opportunities to build their business. They can also participate in educational sessions to develop skills and gain knowledge.

In addition to registration details, the METALFORM website, www.metalform.com, features complete exposition details including the growing list of exhibitors, the current floor plan, hotel and travel information and much more.

Since its inception in 1981, METALFORM has maintained a must-see status. Targeting metal stamping, tool and die, fabricating, metal spinning, roll forming, slide forming and other related manufacturing technologies, it's the one show for metalforming industry professionals. The exposition is sponsored by PMA, the full-service trade association representing the $91-billion metalforming industry of North America-the industry that creates precision metal products using stamping, fabricating and other value-added processes. PMA's nearly 1,200 member companies are located in 30 countries, with the majority found in North America-in 41 states of the United States as well as Canada and Mexico.
