Plastikos, Inc. Wins the 2012 IQMS Manufacturing Success Award
IQMS bestows the highest achiever honor upon Plastikos, Inc. at User Group 2012
PASO ROBLES, CALIF. -IQMS, a manufacturing ERP software developer with an ongoing, proactive commitment to its product and relationships, announced that last night, Plastikos, Inc. was honored with the IQMS Manufacturing Success Award highest achiever distinction. Selected from dozens of innovative nominations by an external panel of industry expert judges, Plastikos' submission demonstrated how the company is an industry leader and a benchmark manufacturer for operational excellence.
Located in Erie, Pa, Plastikos develops and manufactures highly engineered, tight-tolerance, thermoplastic components for the medical and electronics industries. Plastikos' winning project was an automated production labeling and tool tracking process that demonstrated the company's commitment to continuous improvement through advanced engineering, internal R&D and IQMS technology integration. In addition to a 359 percent return on investment, other qualitative benefits were realized, such as improved quality, decreased lead times and improved customer service.

To ensure an unbiased selection process, IQMS utilized an external panel of industry expert judges to select its 2012 highest achiever. Predrag (PJ) Jakovljevic, principal analyst at Technology Evaluation Centers, Jeff Mengel, partner at Plante & Moran, Gary Mintchell, co-founder and editor in chief of Automation World, and R "Ray" Wang, principal analyst and CEO at Constellation Research, Inc. generously offered their time, industry expertise and thoughtful insight in selecting the highest achiever. In addition to Plastikos, the other award finalists included: Gill Industries, Inc., Miniature Precision Components, Inc. (MPC), Plastic Components, Inc. (PCI) and Tessy Plastics Corporation.
