Performance Series Shines at Labelexpo INDIA

New P3 launched while P5 showcased the ultimate in workflow acceleration

St. Louis, Missouri, USA (20 December 2010) - Mark Andy was a main attraction at the recent Labelexpo India. Two of the latest models offered in the Performance Series line were on display. The servo-driven P5, featured as a 6-color, 10 inch (330 mm) configuration showed fast set-up and changeovers while the P3 made its debut to the world.

The Performance Series is the most advanced offering of in-line flexo machines when it comes to high productivity and waste savings. Each live demonstration showcased single station make-ready in 30 seconds and complete four- and five-color job changeovers in less than 3 minutes. The job changeover revealed evidence that only about 20 meters of material is considered set-up waste. This can deliver up to 60% material savings over a year of production.

The international debut of the P3 model completes the full Performance Series line of available machines for narrow web converters. The P3 features the same unique printing platform as the other models in the series, delivering the fastest set-ups and changeovers and shorter web paths. This cost-efficient model provides immediate registration settings, instinctive operator functionality and the exclusive Load & Lock inking system. The P3 is driven by a precision engineered direct drive train and is designed specifically for conventional label production.

Two Performance Series P5 machines had already sold into India prior to Labelexpo. Two 2200s were sold during the exhibition and discussions around several more projects have commenced since.

"The Performance Series platform is obviously a key solution for the Indian market. The productivity achievements that can be made with this line of equipment have motivated many Indian printers to enhance their workflows. It is an exciting time to be in India," remarked Jeff Feltz, director of product management for Mark Andy, Inc.
