PCB Piezotronics Named Official Sensor and Instrumentation Sponsor of 2007 Andretti Green Racing Team
March 22, 2007, Depew, NY, USA - PCB Piezotronics, Inc. (PCB®) has been named "Official Sensor and Instrumentation Sponsor" of the Andretti Green Racing team for the 2007 racing season.
Andretti Green Racing, which won the 2004 and 2005 IndyCar Series championships and the 2005 Indianapolis 500, has won 27 Indy Racing League events in four seasons (entering 2007), including 23 in the IndyCar Series and four in the Indy Pro Series. In addition to its new ALMS effort in 2007, the team will field four full-time entries in the IndyCar Series, a fifth-entry in the Indianapolis 500 and a single-car team in the Indy Pro Series.
PCB is supplying Andretti Green with sensors and instrumentation, including DC response accelerometers, torque sensors and load cells, for its four IndyCar Series entries. PCB will also be assisting Andretti Green with a variety of special engineering projects.
