Okuma Machining Center and Twin Spindle Vertical Turning Center will Be Featured at Eastec by KGKI
The recently introduced Okuma 44H Horizontal Machining Center and the high production 2SPV60 Twin Spindle Turning Center will be demonstrated at the Quality Machine Solutions booth (#1348) at Eastec.
Designed for the machining of medium size parts, the 44H delivers rugged construction in a compact footprint. Precision and repeatability are ensured by Okuma's traditional box ways. Axis travels are 410mm, 460mm, and 470mm in the X, Y and Z axes, respectively. Standard spindle speed is 12,000 rpm with an optional 20,000 rpm. Tool change time is an exceptionally rapid 1.0 second tool-to-tool and 3.0 seconds cut-to-cut. The 44H is available with an optional pallet changer for standalone or cell use, and is equipped with the FANUC 18iM control.
The 2SPV60 offers the high productivity and versatility for which Okuma twin spindle turning centers are known. The maximum cutting diameter is 24.02", swing diameter is 27.56", and maximum cutting length is 25.98". Rigidity is ensured by the integral column and saddle design and Okuma box ways. The integrated spindle/quill assembly features a rugged 40 hp spindle drive, and spindle speeds of 20 to 2,000 rpm. The standard chuck is 15" (24" maximum).
Turrets hold up to 12 tools.
X and Z axis travels are 14.57" and 25.98", respectively, and rapid traverse rate is 945 ipm in both axes. The machine control is the FANUC 18iT.
