Northrop Grumman Appoints Robert Frisbie Vice President of the Company's Information Operations


MCLEAN, Va., July 19, 2006 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Robert P. Frisbie vice president of the company's information operations (IO) business, effective July 1, 2006.

Information operations is the integrated use of electronic warfare, computer network and psychological operations, and security to influence adversarial decision making.

In his new role, Frisbie will lead the company's IO team, which will coordinate and share information across the company's eight operating sectors. This information includes tools, experience and research to meet customer needs.

"Bob's nearly 30 years of technical expertise and management in information operations make him the ideal candidate to lead Northrop Grumman's growing IO business," said James O'Neill, president of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector. "Bob will pull together the talents and capabilities across the corporation to further strengthen Northrop Grumman's position as a leading provider of IO services."

Frisbie joined Northrop Grumman in 1997 as director of programs for the IT sector's intelligence group. Before entering private industry, he had a 21-year career as a U.S. Army officer.

Frisbie earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a master's degree in operations research/systems analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, Calif.
