Normont Industrial Launches its Hinge Division Website Normonthinge.com in English, French and Spanish

Montreal, Quebec, Nov 27, 2008 - Normont Hinge, a division of Normont Industrial, unveils a fully integrated hinge-products-and-services site in three languages: www.normonthinge.com.

Broken down into two sections, i.e. Engineering and Product Catalog, the website features the e version of Connection Systems and Hinges, a standard hinge catalog split into thirteen categories for ease of search ability. The Engineering section of the site was created with an expanded design-and-manufacturing-capabilities approach that includes an "Innovative Products" page with 3D examples of Normont's customized hinge-applications products.

"We've managed to include all the possible variants of hinge characteristics in the market and added a downloadable CAD drawing feature for each with just the touch of a button", said John Struthers, President of Normont Industrial. "After putting together the Normont Hinge catalog in three languages (English, French and Spanish) earlier in the year, the natural next step was to make it available online. 'Maximum exposure with an environmental-conscience approach', that's how my staff presented the project to me."

Also available in the "Products" section is a Knowledge Center that contains some basic information, like the nomenclature of a hinge, the different pin retention options, tolerances and finishes, a countersink guideline, as well as a complete conversion table. "The Knowledge Center is there to assist a customer in navigating through the technicality of building his own Hinge", said Kevin Stangeland, Director of Engineering at Normont Industrial. A Customize-Your-Solution form can also be downloaded from the site, which allows for design specifications and requirements to be applied to a standard hinge. "While most industrial applications use standard hinges," continues Kevin "we are seeing modifications being made that would require customized solutions to fit the new application."

The second section of the site is dedicated to the Engineering, Design and Manufacturing of the Normont Hinge, when more than general modifications are required. In this subdivision, you will find that Normont's sophisticated design engineering team is ready to deliver custom engineered solutions that are innovative, high in quality and cost-effective.

Normont's Product Development program clearly defines the 7 steps to meeting the customer's expectations: ensuring timelines are maintained, design & engineering, production-process flow, fit & form (stereolithography), quality control (finite element analysis), supply-chain management, and cost management.

By showcasing some of their most customized and innovative products, Normont encourages their customers to be unique, to be innovative and to explore the endless possibilities of connection solutions.
