New Online Resources from Rolco for Design Engineers

Although the multishot manufacturing process is becoming better known, Rolco still finds that many design engineers are not familiar with this technology.

"If engineers don't know about multishot, they can't design for it," says Brian Olson, President. "So a large part of our sales process is education and we are developing resources to help with this."

Resources include a previous YouTube video illustrating the two-shot process, as well as new web pages and fact sheets that provide information about applications, materials and manufacturing processes that Rolco utilizes in providing contract manufacturing across a wide range of industries. One topic covered concerns the selection of materials for multishot plastic injection molding.

"This procedure is a lot more complicated than just picking two resins off a chart," says Vince Dutt, Sales Engineering Manager for Rolco Inc. "Reading our fact sheet won't lead to the identification of two materials for a specific project, but they outline the thought processes that are needed to engineer the right solution for each individual design."
